The gearshift diagram is printed on top of the manual transmission control lever handle.
Engaging reverse gear is possible only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop. If the engine is running, reverse gear selection is allowed only after a sufficiently long pause, during which the clutch pedal must be held fully depressed.
Selecting reverse gear with the ignition on causes the white signal lights of the rear combination lamps to come on.
Attention! Do not keep your hand on the manual transmission control lever handle while the vehicle is moving. The pressure generated by the hand is transferred to the shift fork, which can lead to premature wear of the latter.
