Attention! Wait until the engine has completely cooled down before proceeding with the procedure. Do not allow antifreeze to come into contact with eyes, exposed skin, or painted surfaces of car body panels. Wash off accidental splashes with plenty of water without delay.
1. To check the definition of coolant, a special probe is required - ask in car accessories stores.
2. After waiting for the final cooling of the engine, unscrew and remove the filler cap of the expansion tank. Follow the tester manufacturer's instructions to verify that the antifreeze/water mixture in the system provides the required frost resistance. If the density of the mixture is insufficient, the system should be emptied and the coolant replaced (see Section Coolant replacement).
3. After measuring, check the coolant level in the expansion tank (see Section Weekly checks), then tighten the filler cap firmly.
