Removing
1. Firmly apply the parking brake, then jack up the vehicle and place it on jack stands.
2. Remove the mounting screws, split the vibration damper assembly into two halves and remove them from the shaft.
3. Check the damper rubber elements for signs of wear or aging of the material. Replace if necessary. Rubber elements are glued to the body of the damper. Vehicle manufacturers (Skoda company) recommend using Champion 25 adhesion.
Installation
1. Thoroughly wipe the mating surfaces of the damper and drive shaft.
2. Install the halves of the damper assembly on the shaft, making sure that the guide tabs are correctly aligned. Screw in the fixing screws and tighten them to the required torque. Now the car can be lowered to the ground.
